Description
One of the pleasures of hiking at high altitude in Colorado is seeing the Colorado Blue Columbine. I had always wondered what pollinated these flowers since I've rarely seen insects at them - it turns out that the White-lined Sphinx Moth is one of their main pollinators, but are rarely seen by humans due its nocturnal habits!

I had a pot of these outside my window last summer, and got woken up by the buzzing noise the moths make several times.
Apparently Big Brown Bats really like them, but aren't very good at catching them, based on the number of misses I heard.
